On Monday, India observed its 76th anniversary of independence. Sportspeople from a variety of sports, including cricket, football, badminton, and others, took part in the national celebration on this important day by wishing their homeland a happy 75th anniversary on social media.

When the participants returned home with 61 medals from the Commonwealth Games 2022 earlier this month in Birmingham, India recently received its biggest gift for Independence Day. A few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited all the athletes at his home to offer his congratulations.

India has the opportunity to win additional medals at major competitions like the Asia Cup in 2022, the T20 World Cup (cricket), and the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup, which it is hosting for the first time.

Even former West Indies captain and two-time T20 World Cup champion Daren Sammy sent greetings to the nation on this day.
