One of the youngest players in the Rajasthan Royals team, Riyan Parag from Guwahati has been an integral part of the team ever since he made his debut in the IPL 2019 season. The player, who was a member of the Under-19 World Cup-winning team, did not perform much during the first leg of IPL 2021 earlier this year. But he is working hard to do well in the UAE during the second leg of the tournament. He wants to make a place in Team India by performing well in IPL.
Working hard to do well in UAE
Ryan said in the official release of Rajasthan Royals, ‘I think. That the first half of IPL was good for me. But I could have done the Royals better in terms of winning the match. I’m not going to be too harsh with myself.
Opportunity to perform best and make it to the senior national team
Because I have full faith in my abilities and hard practice. I’m sure That I will do well in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The tournament gives me an opportunity to perform to the best of my ability and make it to the senior national team.
Monsoon season difficult to practice walking
Ryan further said, ‘Monsoon season is going on. So it becomes difficult to practice. But I love the experience I got while spending time at the Royals training facility in Nagpur. It has really helped. I got the opportunity to work on all three aspects of my game. And I am really excited about it.
IPL 2021 resume of your team
Speaking on his team’s ambitions for the resumption of IPL 2021. Ryan said, ‘I think. We still have a good chance of making the playoffs. We are in the fifth position in the table. And we have seven more matches to play. Having played here last season, know the conditions in UAE very well. I believe that we can improve. I think we will look to qualify for the playoffs first. And then of course we will have an eye on winning the tournament.
