Trump, according to the head of the House Judiciary, acted against the interests of his nation.
President Donald Trump has “a pattern” of seeking foreign involvement in American elections, according to House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY), but he stopped short of announcing that obstruction charges would be included in articles of impeachment.
The president is accused of placing himself before his country on multiple occasions and actively seeking foreign influence in our elections both in 2016 and in 2020, according to Nadler on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “All of this shows a pattern that threatens the credibility of the next election in a genuine and immediate way.”
Dana Bash, the host, pressed Nadler on whether allegations from 2016 will be included in the articles of impeachment, but Nadler resisted.
He said, “I wouldn’t draw any judgments.” “I bring it up because it fits within the pattern.”
According to Nadler, the Democratic Party possesses evidence to support Trump’s impeachment that “if presented to a jury would be a guilty verdict in about three minutes flat.”
