Online Shopping Mishaps Shoppers Did Not Expect

It is always exciting to order something online. You can search and look for just what you are desiring. And then suddenly you find the perfect item. You order it after checking some of the reviews and then hope for the best. However, sometimes people can get a little overeager which appears to have been the case with this person’s order. They seemed to have gotten a dollhouse-sized cat toy instead of a real-life-sized one. 

Lots of people like to order shirts from the World Wide Web. After all, you can get just about anything that you want custom made. You can choose the colors and the design and you can choose the words that are put on the shirt as well. That is just what this person tried to do, but something was lost along the way and they didn’t end up with exactly what they were looking for in the end. 

Having the option to custom engrave something on your electronics or new items is always a nice thing. While most people don’t care too much about the engraving some people find it pretty important. When this person ordered their iPad, they were given the option to include an engraving. When they tried to opt out and write “no thanks, I don’t want my iPad engraved”, their attempts backfired and they wound up with an engraving. 

While your brain might help you out a bit when you read what is written on this necklace pendant and complete the sentence to something a little more socially acceptable (or legal), the real text here is pretty disturbing. You can only hope that it is a typo and that the only people who purchased this bought it by accident. There is no way there is a big market for sister and husband jewelry. 

If you are looking for a new and crazy new summer fun item then maybe this is for you. However, when you take a closer look, even though this item is only $1, it is probably not the best purchase. While it may be fun in theory to have a trampoline and a pool together in one, it does not really make much sense at the end of the day. 

Now you would think that the people delivering this order would understand that there are some things that are just not supposed to be written on the item. You can tell by the text of this glass that these were clearly instructions for the people fulfilling the order, but they actually just decided to write it on the glass instead. “Can we have it delivered before Monday if possible as that’s her 30th. Nice one”. 

When you order a new item, one of the most important things to do is check to make sure that it will fit in the space you want to put it. This is especially true for items that are large such as kitchen appliances. A refrigerator is probably one of the most crucial items in the kitchen and this person seemed to have made a pretty big mistake when it came to the sizing. 

When this girl ordered her new Airpods, she definitely was not expecting to have a personalized message engraved on the back, especially one that sounded like a mysterious poem or spooky reference. This poor girl thought that the “personalized note” section on her order page was for the delivery person, so she left specific instructions to ensure he would know where to put the package if she was not home. 

With the rise of the internet came the rise of scam websites. People are able to make a scam out of just about anything and unfortunately, there are people who fall for it all the time. While this person should have definitely known that ordering a very cheap TV from a sketchy website was probably not the best idea, they probably didn’t think that the end result would be this bad. 

It looks like something went awry at the distribution center with this order. While most of the other items on this list so far have been simple misunderstandings or mistakes with the order, it looks like this person went crazy. They ordered and purchased a meal kit, but somehow they ended up with a massive box full of lubricating jelly. It seems like the wrong box was sent to her. 

One of the most popular online orders is for Halloween costumes. After all, they are usually something that people use once or twice and then either save for upcoming years, donate, or dispose of. It can be hard to find what is needed in some stores and so people are often left with the option of online shopping. This person tried to buy a Freddy Krueger mask online and it may be his last online purchase for a while. 

You can’t help but laugh when you see this failed attempt to buy a fake Christmas tree online. This person went by what was advertised in the photo on the website and expected to receive a full artificial Christmas tree to have in their house. Little did they know that they would not be receiving a tree, but rather a twig. At least it has some lights and ornaments on it, even though it looks nothing like the picture. 

While it is already bad enough to be scammed and to have to deal with the loss of money and the lack of product that you were expecting to have, it is even worse when you post a review on the buyer’s page and receive a very snarky response from the buyer. This person didn’t even try to claim that they were legitimate and just laughed in the person’s face with the text “hehe”. 

There are some things that are better not to be seen on a live model and female lingerie is one of those things, especially if you don’t have a female model to wear the items. And that is even more the case when the lingerie in discussion is one that has an option crotch area. It is pretty surprising that this man could even fit into the lingerie, but it is usually made out of some pretty stretchy material. 

While there are plenty of items on this list that leave you thinking that people could have been a bit wiser when it came to their purchases, there are other items that would fool even the most cautious of purchasers. This person went to buy some inexpensive AirPods online. The ad made it look just like regular AirPods and so they thought they were in the clear, but that was not the case. 

You can only hope that no one actually purchased this item and that they are only used as something to make fun of when thinking about the world of the internet. After all, what are these even supposed to be and what is their purpose? Are they roller skates or pogo sticks or just a way to have one last bit of fun before you die in the process? Unclear. 

It is always a shame to make a big order when you aren’t able to at least see a sample beforehand. That is the mistake that this company made when they tried to buy pens with their new logo on them. While they thought that they did everything right, something went wrong on the seller’s side and instead of using the uploaded image logo, they ended up using the phrase “Please use uploaded logo”. 

There is nothing sadder than being very excited for a new order to come in, only to realize upon delivery that it is not at all what you expected (or what you ordered at all). This person went through all the necessary processes, but it looks like there was an issue on the technical side of things when the printer tried to open the image she had uploaded. Instead of calling for clarification, they printed it as is. 

Did you ever think the day would come that you would see a shirt with the printed image of what looks like Jesus and Macho Man Randy getting into a fight? Well, even if you thought that the day would never come, it has come. From the looks of this shirt, Macho Man Randy is about to elbow Jesus right in the head and Jesus has no idea that it is coming. 

There is so much to process when you take a look at this photo and advertisement. At first you will probably notice all of the bright colors of the trash bags that they are trying to sell. Next, your eye will move to the shark in the trash bag, which is an interesting marketing tactic. And lastly, you will see the name of the brand in the back which is “GOD HELP”. 

You can never really trust what you are ordering online. While there are some vendors that really make sure that they sell quality goods and they really want to make sure that they have good reviews and are trustworthy selles, some do not care at all. This seller is from the latter group. He is trying to pass this random stuffed animal off as a Baby Yoda even though it looks nothing like him. 

While you would probably think that it is safe to assume that something labeled “desk lamp” would be a suitable size to put on a desk, that is not always the case and that is just why you always have to be careful when you order online. They thought that they would be safe when it was listed as “desk lamp”, they didn’t think it would end up tiny and unusable. 

Although the colors may be a bit similar here, there is a pretty big difference between the Star Trek uniform shirts and a DHL shirt. Now there are a few things that could have happened here. Either there was a mistake in the order from the very beginning or the DHL delivery person was jealous of the package and just switched his shirts for his shirt. Seems like a win for delivery person.  

The real question and comment here is less how someone ended up making the mistake of ordering the world’s largest ladle, but rather what is this actually for? Who needs a ladle this large? Even for places like soup kitchens or dining halls where they create large portions of food to spread among many people, it seems like this ladle would even be too big for them. It scoops a very big portion of soup. 

It is no secret that high waisted pants and jeans are all the rage…and for good reason! They are extremely flattering on most people and they are also very comfortable. However, it seems like this seller took high waisted to the next level. Besides not even being the same item that is advertised, it is also an extremely odd item. It looks like a mistake in the design as no one has a crotch area that long. 

It seems like masks can be a tricky one to order online. People post all sorts of pictures that look nothing like the real version. There have been quite a few people duped by the imagery and disappointed by the real version of the item. If this isn’t a lesson on why you should never buy an item that has no reviews, then who knows what is a lesson for that!

While many parents are concerned about outlets and their young children, most people can also agree that this is not the best way to make them safer. No one wants a child to put their fingers in an outlet or even come too close to one unprotected, but this device is a pretty strange protection method. While it may be safe in its strange way, it does teach a concerning behavior for children. 

Have you ever wondered what certain items from your favorite cartoon shows would look like in real life? While it is pretty rare to have the opportunity to do so, you are lucky enough to see what Patrick’s (from SpongeBob) sexy boots would look like in real life. While they may not have been trying to replicate the boots from the cartoon, it seems that they did so accidentally and pretty successfully. 

If you want to get someone a gift that is very unique, then you know where to look. This is definitely made for a very unique audience as there aren’t even that many people who can recognize that this is Magikarp from Pokemon, except in a sexy form. While that is a strange enough concept in and of itself, it is even odder that some people woud want to get a pin of this to wear. 

Everyone knows that you don’t always exactly what you want when you try to order something online, however, it is usually something that is a bit similar. In this woman’s case, she tried to order hairclips, but what arrived in the mail was not even partially related. Somehow she ended up with a Morty stuffed toy instead of the hairclips, which is a pretty far stretch even for online orders.

Who would have thought that someone could make a typo as serious as this one? After all, the words are pretty simple and they are used so readily. Besides just the mispelling of the word “holy”, it seems that there are more things that are strange about this Bible. It almost looks more like a binder with tabs than a Bible. Maybe those are Bible study notes, but it doesn’t look like your average Bible. 

When you look at this photo you may be thinking that both masks are pretty scary. Who would think to buy the first mask in the first place? However, for Halloween people do all sorts of things and this man wanted to buy a scary mask. He definitely succeeded with that plan, but maybe he didn’t know just how scary the mask would be when it was delivered and tried on. 

This man waited for over six months for his order to come in. When it finally did arrive he could not have been more disappointed with the end result. This was not at all what he was expecting and it definitely did not seem worth the six month wait that it took for it to arrive. After all, waiting six months for an item is a very long amount of time. 

While you probably never considered the item of purchasing accessories for your pet chicken, the internet has thought of it for you. Is there anything that hasn’t be invented yet? Sometimes it seems like people have thought of everything. After all, most people don’t even have chickens so why would they need to buy a helmet for them? Why would chickens need helmets anyway? There are so many questions to be answered.

While most people love dogs, they like for them to look like dogs. There is something so scary about a dog that looks like a human. And that is exactly what is happening in this ad. This dog looks way to human-like and it is making his recommendation for these waterproof sofas seem pretty creepy. Even if you were intrigued by the idea of waterproof sofa covers, you might change your mind when you see this dog. 

It can be challenging to order things online and to communicate your message. This person wanted to order a sports jersey, but they didn’t want a specific name to be written on the back. He saw that this was an issue on the website so he emailed support and followed the instructions that were given to him. However, despite it all, he still received a printed shirt…only it was printed with the word “BLANK” instead of it being blank.

You can at least commend this company for being honest about their product. They don’t know what to call this interesting and strange new thing except “eyewear”. After all, that does seem to be all that it is good for…something to wear on your eyes. They also sell glasses and lenses it seems, but they are trying to expand their market with new things like this eye piece that glitters. 

There is nothing more frustrating than trying to order something online and hoping for the best, only to be disappointed in the end. This person tried to order a pair of shoes online, but it looks like something went wrong with the sizing. Maybe he ordered the children’s size by mistake or maybe the company just lied about the sizing. Or maybe it was a mistake altogether. But regardless, the shoe only its this person’s toe.  

Now this is probably the best out of all the items on the list. While there is a bit of a creepy aspect when it comes to the fact that the Dalmatians are constantly staring at the people in the room, they are a bit cute as well. Maybe if they put the dogs in different parts of the room, it would be less overwhelming, but it could also be a bit of a statement piece. 

Once you have seen this pillow you can quite possibly say very confidently that you have “seen it all”. It may be hard to imagine that someone would want to buy a big pillow that looks like a massive pig’s foot, however, there is apparently a market for it, if this ad is an indication. You can only imagine what this would actually look like when it gets delivered to a house.
