Oscars 2022: This year, two real-life couples are nominated.

Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz’s husband, and Best Actor are competing for awards, respectively.

Two real-life Hollywood couples have been nominated for the four acting categories of the Oscars for the first time, according to New Delhi. On Tuesday, the 94th Academy Awards nominees were made public. Javier Bardem, the husband of Penelope Cruz, is nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively. Both Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst have received nominations for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars. At prior Oscar ceremonies, couples received nominations and even won awards together. This is the first time, however, that two couples have received nominations in each of the four acting categories.

For her performance in Parallel Mothers, Penelope Cruz is a Best Actress contender. For his role in Being The Ricardos, Javier Bardem is a contender for Best Actor. Penelope and Javier, who co-starred in movies including Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Jamon, Jamon, got married in 2010 and now have two kids.

The Power Of The Dog stars Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons as a married couple, and they are nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor, respectively. With 12 nominations, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch, and Best Supporting Actor for Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Power Of The Dog is leading the Oscar nominations this year. Since they were cast together in the second season of Fargo in 2016, Kirsten and Jesse have been dating. They have two youngsters.

The list of couples nominated for Oscars in the same year includes Penelope-Javier, Kirsten-Jesse, and a shockingly large number of others.
