The iconic Spider-Man meme was recreated in live action by Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield.

New Delhi: After actors, Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield reenacted a classic Spider-Man meme featuring a three-way web-slinger standoff in live action, the Internet’s Spidey senses are tingling. Tom Holland is the current friendly neighborhood Spider-Man; the role was formerly held by Andrew Garfield in the 2012 and 2014 reboot movies and by Tobey Maguire in the three Sam Raimi films from 2002 to 2007. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, which demolished the box office last year, all three actors played Spidey. The actors are undoubtedly terrific athletes for bringing one of the most popular memes on the Internet to reality. In case you missed the news, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be made available online on March 22.
Tom Holland posted the live-action meme to Instagram with just three emojis as a caption. Jamie Foxx, who returned to play the Spider-Man antagonist Electro in No Way Home, remarked, “Legend.” Here is Tom Holland’s post:
Everyone understood THE meme, including the movie’s creators, who used it to promote Spider-Man: No Way Home’s digital and Blu-ray releases. Spider-Man: No Way Home was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year.
Naturally, Twitter is ecstatic, with special praise for Andrew Garfield’s dedication to an exact replication of the original meme:
The events of No Way Home are as follows, for anyone who managed to miss the Spidey OGs frenzy from last year: When Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio in the previous movie outed Tom Holland’s Peter Parker as Spider-Man, Peter turns to Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, to undo the damage. However, Doctor Strange’s decidedly un-supreme spell instead allowed the multiverse to enter, bringing with it not only the two previous Spider-Men but also a rogues gallery of supervillains past.
The return of some actors, such as Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin, was hinted at in the trailers for Spider-Man: No Way Home, but Andrew Garfield’s participation was kept a secret. He flat-out lied in interviews and even to Emma Stone, his co-star from the first two Spider-Man movies.
