The Russian president thinks sincere collaboration is essential to getting through challenges.
Russian President Vladimir Putin asserted at the 14th BRICS Summit on Thursday that the global economic crisis was caused by the West’s egotistical attempts to place the blame on everyone else’s errors.
The world economy is currently in a crisis as a result of some states’ selfish and irresponsible conduct, according to Putin. “Only based on honest and mutually beneficial collaboration is it possible to find a way out of this crisis scenario,” he said.
The Russian leader emphasized that the BRICS countries must take the lead now more than ever to create a truly multipolar system of intergovernmental relations. This policy must be based on the fundamental tenets of the UN Charter as well as the generally accepted norms of international law.
Putin asserts that the BRICS nations—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—have truly great potential in terms of politics, economics, science, technology, and human development. He noted that their impact on the world stage was growing every year.
To strengthen its position in world affairs, Putin pledged, “Russia is ready to continue fostering close, multifaceted engagement with all the [BRICS] partners.”
