In the English Premier League 2022–23, Kalidou Koulibaly and Reece James scored goals for Chelsea, while Pierre-Emile Hjbjerg and Harry Kane did the same for Tottenham Hotspur.
The head coaches of Tottenham and Chelsea quarrel in the English Premier League.
Call it the Second Bridge Battle. In the most recent competitive match between Chelsea and Tottenham, which resulted in a 2-2 tie thanks to a goal by Harry Kane in stoppage time in the English Premier League 2022–2023, Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte were the major protagonists this time.
After six years, the management became the centre of attention. Following the final horn, Tuchel and Conte shook hands on the field, but Tuchel didn’t appear to let go of Conte’s hand and suggested that Conte look him in the eyes. Before players and coaches from both teams surged in and started pushing and shoving, they squared up and yelled in each other’s faces.
Then, straight red cards were issued to Tuchel and Conte. They had also argued during the game when Conte celebrated Pierre-Emile Hjbjerg’s first equaliser for Tottenham in the 68th minute. He approached Tuchel and shoved him in the chest, ensuing a brawl between the coaching staff and replacements as Tuchel motioned for Conte to remain in his section of the technical area.
