Walmart news | Members Get Streaming Benefits Thanks to a Walmart Deal with Paramount

According to Walmart, it has reached an agreement with Paramount Global to provide the streaming service of the media firm as a bonus to customers of the retailer’s shipping subscription service.

(AP) NEW YORK — Walmart Inc. announced on Monday that it has reached an agreement with Paramount Global to make the latter’s streaming service available as a bonus to customers of the discount retailer’s shipping subscription service.

The action is a part of attempts made by the biggest retailer in the country to more effectively compete with Amazon’s Prime membership programme, which has several benefits.

Starting in September, Walmart+ subscribers will have access to the Paramount+ Essential Plan, which includes advertisements and provides original dramas like “1883” and “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” as well as the kid-friendly “PAW Patrol” franchise, current blockbusters like “Sonic the Hedgehog 2,” and live sports.

Walmart+ will continue to cost $98 a year, or $12.95 a month, the business announced. Free shipping is offered on certain items, and petrol prices are reduced. The Amazon Video service, original programming, and free gaming are just a few of the benefits of an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $139 per year, or $14.99 per month. several
