The Durand Football Tournament Society presently oversees the Durand Cup, which was established in 1888.

From August 16 to September 18, the 131st Durand Cup will be played in Kolkata, Guwahati, and Imphal. On Tuesday at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, the defending champions FC Goa will take on Mohammedan Sporting. The competition will be live-televised.

The total number of teams has increased from 16 last year to 20, with all 11 Indian Super League clubs participating in addition to five I-League and four Services teams.

The event will be held in three states for the first time, with Assam, Manipur, and West Bengal serving as hosts alongside West Bengal.
